- Remote Sensing - Overview, Electro-magnetic radiation (EMR), Radiation principles, Interaction of EMR with surface objects: spectral signatures, Satellites in remote sensing, Satellite data processing, interpretation, representation, Image enhancement and classification, Thermal infrared remote sensing, Micro-wave remote sensing, Remote sensing applications.
What you'll learn
At the end of this course, you will be able to understand the principles of remote sensing; how to acquire, process, interpret, and classify a remote sensing imagery; various applications of remote sensing; GIS principles, how to work with geographic datasets, and perform GIS processing, editing, and analysis.
About the Instructor
Dr K.B.V.N. Phanindra is an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering, IIT Hyderabad. Dr. Phanindra holds a minor degree in GIS from New Mexico State university.
